Nodular Cast Iron Rolls (SG)
Spheroidal graphite (SG / Ductile) cast iron rolls are cast with pearlitic or bainitic matrices where carbon is predominantly precipitated as nodular graphite. This structural composition yields higher tensile strength and thermal conductivity compared to flake iron, making them suitable for deep-groove section mills, merchant bar roughing, and intermediate stands where profile structural integrity is critical.
